That was Archimonde, he is an Eredar of the Burning Legion. He made a sand Copy of Dalaran, which was just raided by Arthas. Kel'Thazud had summoned him and if you look, when he puts his hand through the sand copy of a building in Dalaran, it collapses. Basically he just destroyed Dalaran if I interpreted that right.

Just for clarification, Archimonde is an 'Eredar' - the original name for their race and now used to describe the demons that came from Argus. Velen and the race allied to the Alliance are the "Draenei" - which means "Exiled" in the Eredun tongue.
I hate it, when people talk about sth. without any knowledge/hate the made-up-WoW-story; for example: b11es've never been members of the horde.
I play WoW though ^-^ Undead ruleZ
